Macmillan Coffee Morning
Although the church remains closed because of damage to the ceiling, we intend to hold our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning as usual this year on Saturday 26 September from 10:00 to 12:00. We have access to the kitchen and toilets via a door that doesn’t enter the main church. We will serve coffees in the churchyard using tents to protect us if the weather is inclement. We hope to see you there to support this very worthy charity.
Memorial service
Every year we hold a parish service of prayer and thanksgiving for those who have died.
This year’s service will be on Sunday 1 November, 3.00pm at St Margaret’s, Downham.
During the service we will read out the names of those for whom we have conducted funerals in the past 12 months or so, as well as other loved ones you have asked us to include.
There is a list at the back of each church in the parish on which you are invited to put their names or you can email names to us (before Friday 30 October, please). There will also be an opportunity for you to light a candle in memory of your loved ones if you wish.
